Refund, repair, replacement, exchange, and withdrawal rules for digital and physical purchases.

This Return Policy applies to products and digital access sold through The Godfathers Of Deep House SA platform. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Shipping & Delivery Policy.
1. General Principle
We distinguish between digital goods or access and physical goods. The return outcome depends on what was purchased, whether access has already been granted, the condition of the item, and any mandatory law that applies in your location.
2. Digital Music, Video, Memberships, and Other Access
Once digital access, download access, streaming entitlement, membership access, or other protected access has been activated or delivered, the purchase is generally non-refundable except where the content was not delivered as described and we cannot fix the issue within a reasonable time, the transaction was duplicated or processed in error, or mandatory consumer law gives you a non-excludable refund right.
If local law gives you a cooling-off or withdrawal right for digital content, that right may end once performance begins with your consent and acknowledgement where the law allows that result.
3. Physical Goods
For physical merchandise, you may contact us for a return, exchange, repair, replacement, or refund if the wrong item was sent, the product arrived damaged, the item has a defect or does not match its description, or mandatory law gives you a cooling-off or return right.
4. South African Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act, including rights relating to defective goods and, where applicable, direct-marketing cooling-off rights. If a product is defective, unsafe, or not of the quality ordinarily expected, South African law may give you remedies beyond this policy.
5. EU / UK and Other Mandatory Rights
If mandatory law in your country gives you a stronger right to cancel or return an order, that law prevails to the extent required. For example, certain distance-sale goods in the EU may carry a 14-day withdrawal right, subject to legal exceptions such as digital content after lawful commencement, personalised goods, or other excluded categories.
6. Return Conditions for Non-Defective Physical Goods
Where we accept a non-defective return or exchange, the item must normally be unused, unworn, unwashed, in its original condition, and returned with tags or packaging where reasonably possible. We may refuse a return that shows use, damage caused after delivery, or missing components that materially affect resale or hygiene.
7. Time To Notify Us
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue. Reporting quickly helps us verify the claim, stop fraud, and resolve shipping or stock issues more effectively. Prompt notice does not replace any longer minimum statutory period that applies under law.
8. Return Shipping Costs
If the return is due to our error, a defect, or damage in transit, we will normally bear or reimburse reasonable return costs. If the return is an optional non-defective return that we agree to accept, you may be responsible for the return cost unless local law requires otherwise.
9. How Refunds Work
Approved refunds are usually issued to the original payment method unless another lawful method is agreed. Processing times may depend on the payment provider or bank. We may withhold a refund where the law allows until the returned item is received or proof of shipment is provided.
10. How To Request a Return
Email info@thegodfathers.co.za or use the contact page with your order number, product name, reason for the request, and where relevant photographs of the issue. Do not send physical goods back until we confirm the return path.
